BANDERA DE GUATEMALA
En la epoca de la Revolucion de 1871, se consideraba un deber el establecer un pabellon nacional que nos identificara y estableciera nuestra independencia absoluta. Fue creada durante el gobierno de Miguel Garcia granado en 1871. Los colores oficiales de la bandera nacional quedaron establecidos en tres franjas verticales, dos de color azul cielo y, en el centro, una blanca. Esta franja blanca representa la tierra entre dos oceanos ademas de simbolizar la pureza, paz, integridad, firmeza y luz. Las franjas azules representan el color del cielo y los mares que rodean Guatemala asi como los valores de la justicia, la verdad y la fortaleza. |
